A New Place To Learn Improv

Over the last few years, Monkey Business Institute’s improv comedy classes, corporate events and playshops have really taken off.  I don’t have numbers or percentages off the top of my head, but our current class location (aka; The Institute) on Baldwin St., just can’t handle the volume of classes and level of business events.  So, we’re moving!*

As of January 1st, 2014, Monkey Business Institute’s teaching arm will be taking residence and holding improv classes, corporate playshops, rehearsing (and even hosting the occasional performance), at 1709 South Park St. (shown in the image: across Park St. from the former Thorstad Chevrolet, next to the incredibly close-together traffic signals, and just up the street from Arby’s).

It’s formerly a dairy – with plenty of off-street parking, two elevators for accessibility (we’re in the lower level) and a more centralized location.

In the coming months, we’ll be constructing a stage and turning the facility into a fun, professional place to learn improv and expand your capability to be creative.  If you’re thinking of jumping into improv – here’s where we hope you’ll choose to do it.

*Our regular Saturday night performances will continue to be held at the Glass Nickel Pizza Company on Atwood Avenue – this move affects classes and playshops.
