[Winterim 2019-20] Musical Improv Two
Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm, December 4 to February 5, no classes 12/25 and 1/1
Description: This class focuses on musical genres and using music in improvised scene work. We will discuss the mechanics and conventions of various musical styles and then try them out. How do you improvise a country song? How do you make up a Broadway musical comedy? What the heck is dubstep? You will learn all this and more!
Prerequisites: Completion of Musical Improv Level One or instructor approval.
Additional Information: This class is taught by Brad Knight and Brandon Jensen. The class show is tentatively scheduled for February 5, 2020. Classes are held at our classroom called The Vault at 1709 S. Park Street, Madison. Student involvement is key to the success of your class experience. Regular attendance is required. Inform your teacher if you will miss a class session. Two or more absences may jeopardize your participation in the class show.
