The Merge has been a staple of the Madison comedy scene and the Madison Comedy Week festival for years! Bridging the gap between improv and standup, The Merge is an excellent, well-rounded show that is literally a once in a lifetime experience every time.
Monkey Business Institute improvisers watch comedians perform and rework their premises and jokes into full-length scenes in a truly extraordinary fashion. This is one of the most fun, off-the-cuff style shows you’ll experience at the fest!
This show is hosted by comedian Vanessa Tortolano who is a staple in both arenas, the comedians join the improvisers after their sets and the scenes for improv games full of quips, quick-wit and surprises all around.
