  • Teacher Bio: Megan Baker Detloff — Megan believes everyone should take an improv class at least once (everyone! Even you! Even YOU! ESPECIALLY YOU!). She focuses her teaching on the fun of improvisation: discovery, collaboration, creativity, and joy. With Megan, you’ll learn the basics of great scenework, which is the foundation of both long-form improv and many short-form improv games. Expect a safe, supportive, and lighthearted environment to level up your improv skills and bring a little more delight to your day.Megan has been performing long-form improv since 2013 and teaching since 2016. She got her start in NYC, where she studied at The PIT and Annoyance (NYC), performing on house and indie improv teams, producing a monoscene improv show called Strangers on a Train, and writing and performing a scripted solo character show for The PIT’s annual Solocom solo comedy festival in 2016. In Madison, Megan performs with MBI and Yes Ma’am, along with indie long-form team Big Honey and two-prov team Megan and Zoe and Zoe and Megan. Offstage, she’s a writer and editor with absolutely zero sense of humor.
